Disclaimer: I don't really care if fallenness isn't a word- it sounds better, so just humor me :)
My life has been a whirlwind the past week- one of my best friends got MARRIED. She's a Mrs :) I can't believe I've hit the age where I have married best friends...How does life move so fast?! I'm so thrilled for her though. She married her very best friend and it was so beautiful, God glorifying, and just relaxed-like it was meant to be...which is was :) This girl has shown me how to be in a relationship that has God at the center of every aspect of it. She's shown me what sacrifice of will looks like, and how the Lord blesses that. I'm so excited for her and her new husband!! I can't wait to see what the future holds for them and how to the Lord is going to bless them. He cherishes a faithful couple. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with- and all for Jesus :)
Besides that detail of my life, the Lord has just kept being faithful, despite my lack of faith. I mean good grief. I feel like such a failure every single day, and yet every week he comes through. I've experienced this a few times throughout my walk with him..and the best explanation I have comes from CRU (Naturally.). So, there's a tool to display how when our view of the Lord increases, the view of our sin increases as well, and ultimately, the more thankful we become. This diagram is describing my life right now. God just keeps on increasing in my life, and my fallenness just keeps on adding up. I mean, what a wicked and worthless person I am, yet God comes in and calls me holy and worthy. What the heck.
I think of the times I loose track of the Lord in all of this, (You would think that wouldn't happen as I have a miracle unfolding before my eyes, AND YET, I still do, constantly, welcome to being Human) I become overwhelmed and just shut down. I let the weight of my sin set in on me and forget to live in the freedom He desires for me. Who He is, is so far above all my fallenness and fleshly stupid things. He provides despite everything I do to unconsciously sabatoge because some where deep down, Satan is always feeding me the lie that I'm not going to make it.. How could I when I'm such a sinful person...Well, this isn't about me at all. It's all about the Lord. Every single step that I'm taking is about the Lord...
Faithfully trudging on,
Heather
